About Us

Vision

We at Ambassadors for Christ Ministries believe that we can change the nations and the world by showing Christ’s love to the children.  We are committed to housing, educating, and providing a loving Christ centered family to children who have been abandoned, mistreated, and forgotten by society.

Mission

We are an international missions organization determined to bring the love and knowledge of Christ to children worldwide via social development. We are determined to show Christ to the nations by housing, educating, and training children; thus equipping them to not only change their lives but their communities and nations.

Who We Are

Mark A Saunders, Sr. was born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 9. At the age of 13, he felt a call to foreign missions on his life. Mark’s first experience in foreign missions was when he took his first mission trip to Haiti, he was 16 years old. Mark attended Purdue University where he met Linda P. Christian at the local church. Mark and Linda worked together with the same Christian student organization both serving terms as President.

Mark and Linda were married in September of 1990 and attended Grace Apostolic Church. They worked in different capacities such as teaching Vacation Bible School, facilitating the married Sunday School classes, and with the videotape ministry. Mark had the opportunity to travel to Venezuela on a short term mission’s trip with Bishop Michael Millben in August 2003. It was on this trip that Mark knew God was leading him to step out and operate in the ministry to which God had called him at a young age. Mark is elated that God has called him to minister to the Venezuelans.

After ministering to children and families in Venezuela for more than a decade, Mark saw the need for a Mental Health ministry along with the social ministry. It was at this time that Mark continued his education and earned a Master’s in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Regent University.  Mark has excelled in gaining the skills needed to minister to the mental health needs of families and children in crisis. Because of the excellence was shown by his grades and clinical work he has earned a scholarship to work on a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from Liberty University. This is a nationally accredited degree (CACREP). Because Liberty offers a hybrid degree, Mark will be able to do much of his Ph.D. work online while continuing to minister in Venezuela. This will further benefit the ministry in Venezuela by providing the skills and training necessary for Mark to train the next generation of ministers in Venezuela for counseling the mental health needs of street children and families in crisis.

Linda was born in Blue Island, Illinois. Linda was raised in a Christian home where her parents housed missionaries regularly. At the age of 12, Linda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. She felt a call to global missions at the age of 16. Linda graduated from North Central High School in 1982. She graduated from Purdue University in 1986 with her Bachelor’s degree. While attending Purdue Linda was very active in campus ministry. She served as the president of a Christian campus organization for 2 terms.

Also, while working on her B.A. degree Linda had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe and into parts of Asia & Africa. She studied in Germany on two separate occasions – at the University of Hamburg and also in former East Germany at Erfurt University. Linda is grateful for being able to experience life overseas before moving to Venezuela in 2004 as a missionary.

Prior to moving to Venezuela, Linda taught Sunday school as well as Vacation Bible School for Jr. High students, then later went on to facilitate a married Sunday school class with Mark. Linda has earned a Master of Arts in Global Studies, a Master of Divinity, and her Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies.

Linda has authored several articles that have been published with the Evangelical Missiological Society. She is passionate about activating young people to heed the call to international missions! The fields are ripe to harvest but the workers are few!

Linda has wholeheartedly embraced the call of a missionary on her life. She counts it an honor to serve the people of Venezuela.
